Image Quest

Image Quest is one of the leading business equipment providers in the state of Kansas with geographic coverage that includes more than 50% of all Kansas businesses. Image Quest is locally owned with locations in Lenexa , Salina and Wichita.

 

Workplace Objectives:

Image Quest is one of the fastest growing companies in Kansas. Early in 2004, the owners decided to build a new headquarters building in northeast Wichita . Their workplace objectives were numerous. They wanted their:

  1. New offices and connected warehouse to reflect a company that was progressive, organized and well run.
  2. Exterior and interior designed to present a look of quality and stability.
  3. Work place environment to be productive and conducive to their collaborative management process.
  4. New offices and showroom to be a place their sales people would be proud to bring their customers.
  5. move from their old location to go smoothly, without a lot of supervisory involvement on their part.

 

Image Quest Solutions:

Scott Rice worked closely with Image Quest owners and their architect to find workable office interior solutions to meet their needs. Scott Rice researched, selected and presented transitional office furniture to give a progressive look. It was decided to go with quality products that would give the entire office a showroom look.

The latest in Steelcase systems furniture was chosen. The workspace was designed for maximum worker efficiency and productivity with ample storage and filing capacity. Ergonomic seating was selected to enhance employee comfort and productivity.

Splashes of color were added to products where appropriate to give a bright, cheery atmosphere. Scott Rice movers were also chosen to handle the box move from their previous location.

 

Image Quest Results:

Scott Rice helped Image Quest achieve all their goals and more. The move and furniture installation was flawless and on schedule with very few follow up actions required. Co-owner and President, Mark Lindquist, stated, "Our employees are proud of our new offices and like showing it off. After a couple of weeks we noticed a significant increase in customer visits." Cox Communications is a Fortune 500 company providing multi-service broadband communications to over 6.7 million customers. They are the third largest cable television provider in the US . Cox provides an array of other communications and entertainment services, including local and long distance telephone under the Cox Digital Telephone brand.

Workplace Objectives:

Wichita , Kansas - Cox Communications operates out of several offices in Wichita. Two years ago they decided to build a call center in Wichita employing over 200 employees. Their goal was to create a highly productive environment with building and workplace systems that allowed for the easy modification of workspace as changes were required. They also wanted great working conditions and a first class training facility.


Solutions:

Scott Rice partnered with Steelcase and Cox facilities managers to create the ideal call center. Cox chose to build a technology friendly building by "WorkStage" (a company working in a joint venture with Steelcase) and furnish the workspace with office interiors manufactured solely by Steelcase. Scott Rice coordinated and managed the entire office interiors portion of the project.


Results:

The WorkStage building and the office interiors projects were completed on time as scheduled. WorkStage flooring features allowed for easy cabling and continues to provide the flexibility to easily reconfigure the workspace as changes become necessary in the future. The latest Steelcase systems furniture was configured in a way that optimized the cost per square foot while still encouraging team work and providing highly efficient workstations. Steelcase movable walls also allow for greater flexibility as space design needs change.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL) is the second largest cruise vacation company in the world. RCCL, a cruise company with a reputation for great service at affordable prices, operates 29 cruise ships throughout the Caribbean . They also offer unique cruisetour vacations in Alaska , Canada and Europe.

Wichita , Kansas - The RCCL call center in Wichita , KS consistently employees over 500 customer service attendants. They wanted to create a productive workplace that was also a fun place to work. They wanted to create team environments with increased communications opportunities - environments that retained workers.

 

Solutions:

Scott Rice partnered with RCCL to design panel systems that helped promote a team atmosphere while offering the required privacy and functionality so their call operators could provide their customers with a high level of service.

 

Results:

Scott Rice and RCCL have worked together to create a workplace that met and exceeded their goals and objectives. Call operators enjoy a very functional workstation in an open atmosphere that allows for easy communications and improved productivity. The informal meeting areas create fun surroundings and promote higher morale. Call center turnover has steadily declined over time.
